Name: Destiny West
Birthdate: 2nd December
Place of Origin: Perth, Western Australia

Favourite Authors: Definitely Richard Laymon, his work inspired me to write professionally. I also love Bill Bryson.
I really enjoy autobiographies and factual books on anything from The Supernatural to Myths and Legends. I must also confess to being an English Literature junkie – I adore classical English Poetry from the likes of Byron, Keats, Wilde and Shelley and I have devoured everything by Jane Austen.

Favourite Music: I love music, bands like HIM inspire me to write. I also love, The Tea Party, The White Stripes, Placebo, The Cure, Nick Cave, David Bowie, Beethoven, The Angels .. really there are too many to mention.

Favourite Songs of All Time : Dead Can Dance - Host of Seraphim, HIM - Gone with the Sin, David Bowie - Life on Mars, The White Stripes - 7 nation army, The Tea Party - Temptation, Beethoven - Moonlight Sonata.

Favourite Movies: I can’t really narrow it down to a few, but let’s just say that though horror is my life, there are actually no horror movies in my top five movies of all time. A few of my all time favourite horror movies are: The Exorcist, Dawn of The Dead, Shaun of The Dead, Blood Sucking Freaks. I am also a huge fan of anything by Unearthed Films.

Favourite Televisions shows: Hannibal, Bates Motel, The Walking Dead, Haven, Face Off, Shameless, Russell Howard's Good News, LA Ink, I also love documentaries be them on history or people.

Interests: Folklore, Mythology, Dreams, Sex, Fetishes, Films, Writing, Baking, Supernatural things - spooks and ghouls, Aliens.

Favourite Places: Definitely the UK. I loved living over there, it was my main muse for writing. Special places for me include Devon and Colchester.

Favourite Artists: The Blood Painter - Rev Mayers, The Pre-raphaelite era definitely. I’ve been seen crying in front of a Dante Rossetti painting in the Tate.

My Loves: Horror, erotica, writing, reading, sleeping, dreaming, sex, kinky things, films, baking, chocolate, travel, museums, art galleries, the cinema, libraries, second hand book shops, beach during winter.

My Hates: Arrogant, selfish, vain people. Westerns, Rap music, seafood.

What I find sexy: I am constantly asked what or whom I find sexy. My taste is not typical in men. I am drawn to men such as: Steven Buscemi, Gary Oldman, John Malcovich, John Cusack. To me sexiness is beyond appearance, it is about an aura and definitely intelligence. When I'm in the mood for my own kind - Tabatha Coffey, Angelina Jolie (Just to name a few)

People that Inspire Me: Stephen Fry is my God. Anyone with intelligence and wit is definitely my kind of person. I also adore Russell Howard. Rev Mayers - his life and art work inspire my writing.

What Horror Means To Me: Horror was my earliest crush which has developed with complete fidelity into pure unadulterated love. I fell in love with horror when I was around 4 years of age, Hammer Horror Films helped develop my thirst for the dark and menacing. Though I write what is considered extreme horror for me personally it is all about the atmosphere. The things that go bump in the night, the lurking shadows and what is left to your imagination. Yes gore has it's place, but to me gore is not scary, trust me - what you don't see is so much more terrifying.
